Date: Sunday, December 6, 2020 at 21:00 Dear Nine Hole Golfers, So good to see many of you on the Zoom call! Missing meeting in person... For several years at holiday time we have gathered at Sue Brodbeck's home to bake fresh cookies for the pro shop staff and our dozens of wonderful groundskeepers. This tradition is fun for our members and the resulting gift baskets are heartily appreciated by their grateful recipients. There are about 30 people who work on the grounds and in the pro shop. As with all things in 2020, this year will be different. Nine Holers are asked to bake at home and drop your cookies at Sue Brodbeck's home on either December 14 or 15. Please package them so that the recipients can select an assortment from the smorgasbord that Sue will deliver. Please wrap your cookies, singly or a few. Of course you can use plastic bags, but wax paper bags are available, in two days from Amazon et al., and more earth-friendly. Sue has generously offered to transport the wrapped items to the course—she is transporting them but not creating the baskets we would normally assemble. If you have baskets to contribute for recipients to use, they are welcome. Please look for the 2 cards to sign on the bench outside the front door. (Lynn has posted this on the website also.) 2020 Holiday Cookie Drop Monday December 14 or Tuesday December 15 (before dark) 644 Arbor Road, Menlo Park (next door to Jack Lyle Park) No need to ring the doorbell! Looking forward to happier days next year! Have wonderful holidays and enjoy golfing!
